I’m not quite sure how this trip happened. Just that on a very rainy and stormy Friday afternoon in mid September we headed to the airport enroute to Reno Nevada. The plan was to get to the Ironman race at Lake Tahoe on Sunday.

We had a long wait (and delay) before our 1st plane left. I can’t believe that they can charge this much for water in the airport, especially when there are no water fountains! Pizza was good!

We got to Reno very late, noticed the slot machines everywhere, and went right to the Best Western near the airport. So that when we woke up we got our first view of OUT WEST! “Out West”, at first glance, looks and feels very different from Florida. The air is dry. It is COOL! (or somewhat so). We have a look at our rent a car and see that we are now Utah-ians. We head across Mount Rose to California and Lake Tahoe.

We are excited and enthralled.
