Our interstate highway system is depressing, at least in the South. There is not a fresh peach to be found off the highway anywhere in the state of Georgia, even at a place called the “Magnolia Plantation”.  No fresh fruit at all there, only packaged stuff with long shelf life.

I hate being preached to from billboards (who pays for this stuff?!)

We enjoyed our visit in Knoxville with Carolyn, Hal and Reed. And we made it through Atlanta, and everywhere, with no traffic jams or thunderstorms — though our cell phones kept beeping warning about tornadoes!

But it was amusing coming into a Florida rest area with poisonous snake warnings in the dog walking area!
